Jacqueline Collinson
Jackie has previously worked in the legal profession in Solicitors practices for some 27 years. During the course of her legal career she became a specialist in both the commercial and residential spheres of property law.

She was twice employed as the prime mover in establishing, launching and marketing legal practices in new locations in both Norwich and Ipswich. In doing so, she increased an already impressive history of the professional mix of managerial, human resources, administrative and marketing experience. She has been a member of The Institute of Legal Executives since 1986.

In conducting the very high volume of work associated with residential and commercial property she represented a very wide variety of clients – as diverse as those buying and selling a Post Office or shop to those taking on Public Houses, offices or leases. One specialist firm of commercial agents in the county would recommend her to all their clients.

So, it was hardly surprising that over the years, she also developed and extended her legal skills to those involving good organisation and administration. She learned to keep a cool head when under extreme pressure whilst maintaining a warmth and approachability to clients.

In November 2003 Jackie decided to take a break from the law and took up a 6 month contract with “Shaping the Future” (a forward thinking local government initiative) as Director to the Rural Economy Board. Working closely with business leaders, this involved endeavouring to ensure that the county of Norfolk enjoyed a sustainable, dynamic, innovative and diverse rural economy. In this role Jackie met with a wide range of groups, organisations and businesses with an interest in the rural economy of Norfolk. She acted as something of a catalyst and a conduit in addition to assisting with the co-ordination of those various groups.

Then it was a return to the law for another two years with a local law firm until May 2006 when she decided to take a year out to travel the world with her husband David. The inspirations from the travel itself and the variety of the people she met gave her a different perspective on life in general and on the ways in which it is now possible to do business. It was a major influence in her decision to establish lawcol-one.

At a personal level, Jackie is married to David and has two grown up sons and two step-sons. Her hobbies are travel, walking, sailing (having learned to sail on Sydney Harbour while on those travels) reading (she belongs to a book club) and socialising.
